Music of the 70s is a free, static website. We've designed it to be as privacy-respecting as possible. This page explains, in plain English, what happens to your information when you visit.

Personal information we collect

None. We do not ask you to sign up, log in, or provide any personal details. We do not run contact forms that store data, and we do not build profiles of our visitors.

Cookies

This site does not currently set any cookies of its own. Some tools use your browser's localStorage to remember small, non-personal details — such as how many songs you've discovered this session or your best trivia score. This information stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it any time through your browser settings.

Analytics (future)

We may add a privacy-friendly analytics tool, such as Google Analytics, in the future to understand which tools are most popular. If we do, this policy will be updated to describe exactly what is measured and how to opt out.

Advertising (future)

We plan to display advertising through Google AdSense once the site qualifies. When that happens, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You will be able to opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. This policy will be updated with full cookie disclosures before any ads go live.

Third-party links

Our tools link out to external sites such as YouTube (for song searches) and Wikipedia (for artist information). Album cover images on the Random Artist Picker are retrieved from the MusicBrainz Cover Art Archive. These external services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party websites.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected here with a revised "last updated" date.
